The Skid Control Tarmac Rally Sprint Series is back and bigger than ever for 2026! Get ready for the six-round motorsport series designed to deliver fast-paced, driver-focused competition on some of Queensland’s most iconic tracks.

Run across Queensland Raceway, Lakeside DTC, and Doonan DTF, this is a higher speed navigation Course which will challenge the driver, navigator and vehicle. Running one extended track to be a truly exciting test of speed and skill! Each round is conducted in a rally sprint format, with drivers competing against the clock in a safe, controlled environment that rewards car control, accuracy, and commitment. 

With six rounds in total and no drop rounds, every event counts toward the overall series standings — making consistency and reliability just as important as outright speed. Whether you’re an experienced competitor or stepping into tarmac rally sprint competition for the first time, the series provides a welcoming yet competitive atmosphere with a strong focus on driver development and enjoyment!

  • Queensland Raceway runs from:
    • Evening 16:00 – 22:00 
  • Lakeside DTC runs in 2 seperate half days:
    • Morning 09:30 – 12:30
    • Afternoon 13:30 – 16:30
  • Doonan DTF runs in 2 seperate half days:
    • Morning 08:30 – 12:00
    • Afternoon 12:30 – 16:00

Registered and Unregistered cars are welcome! Please ensure your vehicle is safe, has secure seats/seat belts, no leaks and no loose items. This event is suitable for drivers, navigators and cars of all levels. Our instructors can also help you better your driving and/or navigating around our technical, tight Tarmac Rally Course. Drivers of Learner age (16+) or older are welcome and any unlicensed drivers under 18 require a licensed passenger/navigator.

Additional Information

  • All Cars Welcome, no rego required. Will need to be in a safe, leak-free condition with working seatbelts & seats
  • All panels (Soft top/convertibles must stay closed unless you have roll over protection), lights and windows (minimum ¾ closed) must be present on vehicles
  • Noise limits apply at Lakeside, 95db measured at 8 metres behind the vehicle. No Straight through exhausts, pop and crackle tunes or screamer pipes allowed
  • Only one passenger in the front seat of the vehicle
  • Minimum passenger age 7, must be tall enough to fit in the front seat without a booster
  • All 16+ drivers welcome! (Unlicensed/Learner drivers are to have an experienced driver as passenger and experienced track drivers that are underage, 14+ experience track drivers are welcome by prior arrangement with Skid Control)
  • No Drifting on Dry Surfaces and tyre squeal to be kept to a minimum on the dry tracks. No standstill burnouts or excessive sliding
  • Closed shoes and seat belts to be worn by all participants, arms to be kept within the vehicle at all times
  • Helmets are required to be worn by all drivers and passengers (Helmets to meet Australian or European Safety Standards) 
  • Fire Extinguishers are highly recommended!
  • No loud music or general hooning off the track. Anyone caught messing around outside of the dedicated track areas will be removed from the venue immediately, no exceptions!
  • No dogs or any other pets allowed inside the venue
  • No Alcohol or drugs allowed on the premises

Please be advised that although we have an awesome club house with seats and toilets, no food or drinks are available for sale. Please ensure you bring food and drink with you.

Right of admission reserved. Staff reserve the right to remove anyone who does not abide by these rules, and any rules as stipulated on the day, without refund.
