Description
Skid Control returns to the Drift Playground for an open Drift Day, and we are now the Licensing authority for your DRIFT LICENSE for the main track!
Learn the basics or advanced skills to master the art of drifting, or just enjoy a full day of open track time!
The morning will start off with a slower beginner layout to teach all those new and warm up the tyres of the experienced. Which will follow up with a faster more open layout in the afternoon for those big sends and teaching the advanced skills. Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced drivers welcome to all sessions as runs are solo or tandems only with those you chose to run with.
Spots are limited to 30 for the entire day for MAXIMUM seat time, no waiting forever to get on track or sharing the track with loads of cars if you don’t want to!
Not able to make it for the entire day? There is also the option to book for a half day in either the Morning or Afternoon! Although full day is HIGHLY recommended.
Drift Licensing is only issued to drivers who run in the afternoon session due to track layout and requirements to obtain the license. If you have not got your license yet, this is the only way to get one to ensure all drivers on main track look after it, this ensures we get to drift at QR indefinitely. Over the day we will be running multiple layouts with a start and finish line. This will provide variety to learn and test your skills and maximise track time.
There will be an instructor on the day to teach you all you want to know, or just jump in your car with mates and drift for fun. Tandems, no noise limits, just a good day with the boys and girls shredding some tyres around cool layouts and doing awesome challenges!
The cost is $220 for a Full Day or $140 for either the Morning or Afternoon, and Extra drivers are $70 – payment secures your spot. There are only 30 cars max for the day so get in early to book your spot! No spectator costs for access to the Drift Playground only.
The event runs from 08:30 – 17:00 with a 30min lunch break in-between.
If you’re in the morning/all day session be at the gates at 07:00, or in the afternoon arrive from 12pm.
